On September 16, 2014, the Caucasus International University launched the Democracy and Citizenship course. Second-year students majoring in Journalism and International Relations will complete this course.
During the first class, the students discussed quotes and participated in various learning activities, including “Gallery Walk.” The new learning methods turned out to be very interesting for the students; they particularly enjoyed discussing quotes about democracy by various authors, which resulted in a heated discussion among the learners.
In addition to the Caucasus International University, the undergraduate-level course on Democracy and Citizenship is being taught at 20 other Georgian higher education institutions.
