On March 19, 2015, students of the Democracy and Citizenship university course presented their action plan projects at the Multimedia Education Center. The presentation was also attended by the representatives of CELA’s partner universities administrations, NGOs, international organizations and students.
The presentation was dedicated to the projects prepared during 2014-2015 Autumn semester.
Students of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Caucasus University and Georgian-American University introduced their projects, while students of regional partner universities, among others, Batumi State University, Akaki Tsereteli State University and Kutaisi University presented their work via Skype. The projects were concerned with the urgent and topical issues of Georgian society and aimed to raise public awareness and provide truthful information to our society.
At the end of the presentation Tamar Karaia, executive director of the Civic Education Lecturers Association(CELA) expressed her gratitude to the students and guests and spoke about forthcoming activities in scope of the Democracy and Citizenship course.
The presentation was held by CELA and made possible with the support of USAID in the framework of the project Strengthening Electoral Processes (SEP), implemented by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
