CELA launched a Call for Articles for a Scientific Journal

The Civic Education Lecturers Association (CELA) invites you to submit articles for peer-reviewed journal Civic Education Review.

The journal is an annual publication that comes out in both print and electronic form.

The first issue is focused on the topic of  “24 Years of Independence - Building Democracy in Georgia” .

Deadline: July 15, 2015.

Submitted articles must constitute evidence of papers’ scientific contribution to the field of Civic Education, include critical analyses of the research topic with pertinent arguments, as well as, contain well-defined theoretical framework and must be completed in accordance with relevant methodology.

  • Papers submitted for consideration must not have been already published and must not be under review or submitted for review elsewhere.
  • Correspond to the stylistic and structural requirements of the journal.
  • Authors, along with papers, must present copyright permission letter for enclosed illustrations.

Articles must be completed in accordance with the following requirements:

  • The Article Title – Font – 14-point, Bold, placed in the center of the page.
  • Title Page  - author information:  name, surname, institution, e-mail address, phone number (Font – 12-point, Bold, placed in the center of the page).
  • Abstract  should contain min. 200, max. 300 words and  should state the research problem,  study's purpose, methodology and main findings  (Font – 10-point, Italic) 
  • Key Words  - 5 units (Font – 10-point, Bold, italic)
  • Text Article should be typed in Microsoft Word format with .doc extension. Font- Sylfaen 12-point, line spacing -1 inch. For Subtitles use 14-point font, Bold, Italic.
  • Length  Article should not exceed 7000 words (including endnotes and notes) 
  • Endnotes - All citations should be in endnotes placed at the end of the article.
  • Citations - Any citation exceeding 10 units should be placed in a free-standing block of typewritten lines and put in quotation marks. 
  • Notes   should be placed at the end of the article (10-point font).
  • Bibliography   should be placed at the end of the article in APA style. For detailed information on APA style click Here (10-point font).
  • Abstract in English min. 500 max. 1500 words (Font 12-point Times New Roman)
  • Name of the File   should contain surname of the author (ex. antadze.doc)
