The material was drafted by local and international subject-matter expects and guides the reader through six sections: The Individual, Government, and the Constitution; Human rights; Civil Society and Citizen Participation; Elections and Representative Democracy; Gender Equality; The Role of Media in a Democratic Society. The guidebook has been distributed to citizens in urban and rural areas of Georgia, civil society organizations, IFES 22 partner universities, where the civic education course “Democracy and Citizenship” is taught. .
