Besides elections, how else can I be a part of the decision making process? What types of rights and responsibilities do citizens have in a democracy? Why is gender equality important in a democracy? What role does the media play in a democratic society? These are just some of the questions that are answered by IFES Georgia’s newly unveiled civics guide, which is well illustrated, eye-catching booklet, designed for a wide-audience in four languages.

The material was drafted by local and international subject-matter expects and guides the reader through six sections: The Individual, Government, and the Constitution; Human rights; Civil Society and Citizen Participation; Elections and Representative Democracy; Gender Equality; The Role of Media in a Democratic Society. Besides, the guide presents the principles of democracy and the list of the useful for the citizens links and resources.
