The implementation of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2022’’ has started. In Tskaltubo, a three-day training was conducted for the participants selected from Adjara, Samegrelo, and Imereti Within the project framework. The activity aimed to develop the skills needed to plan participant advocacy campaigns and civic engagement projects.
As part of the on-site training, participants were trained on an advocacy campaign. The participants discussed the stages of developing a project action plan and the factors to consider during project implementation. The participants discussed the essence, purpose, types, methods, and components of the action plan of the advocacy campaign. Emphasis was placed on the importance of defining communication strategies and target audiences; the role of social networks and technologies during the advocacy campaign.
The last day of the training was dedicated to introducing writing and managing strategies for civic engagement projects.
The training was conducted in an interactive mode. Practical and group exercises contributed to the development of participants’ transfer skills, which should help them successfully implement civic engagement projects later.
