Another workshop was held within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ on the topic: peculiarities of the integration of minorities in Georgia. Associate professor of the University of Georgia Giorgi Sordia was invited to the meeting.
Giorgi Sordia defined the definition of ethnic minorities, reviewed the history of ethnic, linguistic, and religious minorities of Georgia and the geographical regions of settlement. The importance of planning and conducting state policy towards minorities was also discussed at the meeting.
The meeting was conducted in an active question-and-answer mode. It was especially interesting for the project participants to discuss the geographical regions of minority settlements based on relevant thematic maps.
‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ is implemented with the financial support of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung South Caucasus Regional Office.
