Civic Education Lecturers Association (CELA) is organizing its lecturers visit as guest lecturers in partner universities. This activity aims to support new Democracy and Citizenship lecturers to improve civic education teaching skills. Experienced CELA members are visiting partner universities and are conducting open lecture for students. Local Democracy and Citizenship lecturer is attending this lecture and after the event both of them are evaluating learned lessons.
During one year 14 lectures will be organized in partner universities. Ten in regional universities, four in Tbilisi. 7 visits have already been held at the universities of Gori, Batumi, Telavi, Kutaisi and Tbilisi since March.
Besides the lecture, during the visit CELA members are meeting university officials and providing them with the news and achievements about Democracy and Citizenship course.
The guest lecturers visits were orginized with the financial support of USAID in the framework of the project Strengthening Electoral Processes (SEP), implemented by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
