The project "Access to Non-formal Education Resources for Ethnic Minority Women" was successfully implemented in Tbilisi.

Within the framework of "Civil Engagement School 2023", students of Tbilisi State University: Tamar Jakhua, Marita Kharshiladze, and Hasmik Petrosian, a student of Tbilisi State Academy of Art, successfully implemented the project "Access to Non-formal Education Resources for Ethnic Minority Women".

The project aimed to raise the awareness of ethnic minority girls about non-formal education and the educational projects that will help them better integrate into society and develop various transferable skills.

Authors organized trainings where the following issues were discussed: the essence, purpose, and importance of non-formal education, ways of receiving non-formal education and its role in the development of transferable skills, Skills Agency Georgia programs for ethnic minorities, etc.

Each training conducted in an active question-and-answer mode, included group work, which helped the participants to better analyze the theoretical material.

The trainings were conducted by the following invited guests:

Murad Muradov-Director of the ‘’Integration Center for the Azerbaijanis of Georgia’’;

Aitaj Khalili-the representative of the organization ‘’Salam’’;

Zuka Samkharadze-trainer of the ‘’Center for Civil Integration and Inter-Ethnic Relations (CCIIR)’’;

Liana Markaryan-media psychologist, journalist, researcher;

Taia Tsiklauri-representative of ‘’Skills Agency Georgia’’.

A video competition was announced, and participants recorded videos about non-formal education. The winners were given symbolic gifts at the final event of the project.

Thanks to the Tolerance and Diversity Institute (TDI), which provided books for the participants, Also Chocoloco, Dora-Dora, and Matata, with their help symbolic gifts were given to the participants.
