Within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2022’’ workshops are actively held in Tbilisi. Tinatin Maghedani-head of the civic movement ‘’Gavigudet (We are Suffocating)’’ was invited to the meeting.
Tinatin Maghedani introduced participants to the history, purpose, implemented, and current activities of ‘’Gavigudet (We are Suffocating)’’. The guest also reviewed the role of advocacy campaign strategy planning and citizens’ civic responsibility for the success of the civic movement.
Based on specific examples the participants discussed the challenges of Rustavi, as an industrial city, as well as the role of raising citizens’ awareness and civil movements in combating these challenges. The meeting was held in an active question-answer mode. Tinatin Maghedani shared her experience with the participants, which will help them to formulate and implement project initiatives.
