Within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ Tbilisi State University student Nini Gokhelashvili and Gori State Teaching University students Mariam Pavliashvili, Zhana Inauri, and Zura Macharasvili successfully implemented the action project ‘’The Role of an Active Citizen in the Process of Democratic Development of the Country’’ which aimed to raise awareness of adolescents about the role of citizen and values in the democratic country.
Within the framework of the project pieces of training was held at the second public school of Surami, at the public school of the village Tsaghvli, at the public school of Aghaiani, and the ninth public school of Gori named after Vazha-Pshavela.
Within the framework of the project, a training module was developed, which includes the following topics: the concept of citizens, types, and stages of development, citizen’s rights and responsibilities, the role of an active citizen in the process of democratic development of the country. Each training included activities, for example: ‘’separation of citizen’s rights and duties’’, ‘’historical role play’’, ‘’remember a man associated with a true citizen’’. These activities helped the participants to better analyze the theoretical knowledge. Each training was conducted in an active question-and-answer discussion mode, participants were awarded certificates.
