The implementation of the student action projects continue in Telavi

Within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University students: Veriko Maisuradze, Ana Dedabrishvili, Tamta Sanadiradze, and Tbilisi State University student Nino Gomurashvili are implementing action project ‘’Basic Human Rights=Active Citizen’’, which aims to raise awareness of young people about basic human rights.

To achieve the aim of the project, the student initiative group conducted a two-day training, the following topics were discussed on the first day of the training: human rights and the right to free development of the person, the right to equality, freedom of information, the importance and role of the media in the state.

The second day of the training was dedicated to the characteristics of civil society and the role of an active citizen in the process of democratization of the country. Training included practical part, which helped the participants to better analyze the theoretical information. At the end of the training, each participant was awarded a certificate.
