The implementation of action projects has started in Gori

Within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ the implementation of student action projects continues. Gori State Teaching University students: Mariam Ispiriani, Giorgi Tomashvili, Nino Zazarashvili, and Tamo Komeshov are implementing the project ‘’get to know EU and its values’’. The project aims to raise the awareness of pupils about the idea and values of the European Union.

Within the framework of the project, a training module was created, which covers the following topics: the history of the creation and enlargement of the European Union, EU values, EU-Georgia relations. Mariam Ispiriani, one of the co-authors of the action project, has already carried out the first activity at Flavisman public school and trained students on the above topics.

The training included both theoretical and practical tasks. At the end of the training, a discussion was held about the misconceptions about the EU in Georgia. It is planned to organize a public lecture about EU values in the future, as well as pieces of training with other school students.

Within the framework of this project, an essay competition will be held on EU topics, 5 winners will be revealed, who will be awarded gifts.
