Another workshop was held within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ in Batumi. Irakli Kurua- Journalist of Adjara TV and Jaba Ananidze- journalist of Batumelebi publishing house and Netgazeti publishing house were invited to the meeting.

At the meeting, guests introduced the purpose, mission, and role of journalism in the process of building a democratic state.  The guests reviewed various means of transfer information to the public, characteristics of journalistic information, media functions: media as a watchdog and media as a public forum.

The meeting was conducted in an active question and answer and discussion mode.  Jaba Ananidze and Irakli Kurua shared personal experiences with students. The challenges of journalism were discussed in the context of the region.
