A workshop was held for the ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ members in Batumi

A workshop was held for the ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ members in Batumi. Malkhaz Chkadua was invited to the meeting: representative of ‘’Transparency International Georgia’’. The main topics of the workshop were: equipping citizens with power and role in the process of building a democratic state.

 The guest discussed the peculiarities of civil society and civic activism, the experience of civic activism, and civic movements of the Adjara Region. Based on specific examples Malkhaz Chkadua also discussed challenges of civic activism in the Adjara region.

The meeting was conducted in an active question-and-answer mode. It was especially interesting for the project participants to discuss the challenges of civic activism in the context of the region.
