Discussion on Constitutional Reforms was held in Gori at Euroregional Teaching University

On October 30, another meeting from the series of discussions Democracy Dialogues was held in Gori at Euroregional Teaching University. Constitutional reform was the main topic of the discussion.

The discussion was led by the constitutionalist Konstantine Chokoraia. Before the discussion, Kakhaber Uriadmkopeli, moderator of the meeting and the lecturer of GAU, gave the speech about civic education online edition CIVICUS, as the main topic of its 13th number is also constitution and related issues. 

Konstantine Chokoraia reviewed the chronology of constitutional reforms implemented in Georgia, the current reform process and other controversial issues. Particular attention was focused on several important issues such as parliamentary elections, direct presidential elections, alienation of agricultural lands to foreign citizens.

The event was attended by the students and the lecturers of the university. The main part of the meeting was held in a question-answer format.
