The Civic Education Lecturers Association (CELA) is organizing its lecturers visit as guest lecturers in partner universities. This activity aims to support new lecturers of the university course “Democracy and Citizenship” to improve civic education teaching skills. Experienced CELA members are visiting partner universities and are conducting an open lecture for students. Local lecturers of the “Democracy and Citizenship” course are attending the lecture and after it, they are evaluating and discussing the conducted lecture.
During the spring semester of 2017 academic year, 11 lectures were organized in partner universities. 7 lectures were held in regional universities (in Zugdidi, Gori, Telavi, Kutaisi), four in Tbilisi.
In the frames of the visit, CELA members are sharing all the news and achievements about “Democracy and Citizenship” course with each other.
The guest lecturers visits were organized with the financial support of the USAID in the framework of the project Strengthening Electoral Processes (SEP), implemented by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
