The fourteenth issue of CIVICUS is about socio-economic and cultural characteristics of the city. Transport system problems, debates related to cycling infrastructure, world’s best examples of city management and other difficult challenges are discussed in this issue of CIVICUS. The authors seek to answer the following questions: What are the main challenges in the process of urban development? What kind of social reality will the chaotic process of urbanization face? How can we overcome the traffic collapse problem in Tbilisi? What are the socio-cultural characteristics of modern and old type cities? How do the residents express what they want to say? What do they write on the walls of the building and who are their potential addressee?
