Within the framework of "Civil Engagement School 2023", students of Tbilisi State University: Ana Korti, Liza Kakhaberidze, and Natia Mamisashvili are implementing the action project "Practical methods of fighting corruption", which aims to raise the awareness of young people about corruption and its prevention mechanisms.
Within the framework of the project, the first training was successfully organized by the students. The training was led by: Giorgi Chkheidze - human rights lawyer and Khatia Nikolaishvili – a senior researcher of Squander Detector.
Within the framework of the training, Giorgi Chkheidze reviewed: the concept of corruption, the mechanisms of fighting it, and the ways of identifying cases of corruption, Khatia Nikolaishvili focused on the following issues: Georgian legislation on freedom of information, property declarations of political parties and public persons, available sources/web pages for information search.
