We are starting to publish the results of student action projects implemented within the framework of the "Civic Engagement School 2022".

Students of Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi: Ana Abuladze, Onise Buliskeria, and Nino Dgebuadze successfully implemented the project "Fighting Disinformation and Russian propaganda in the Samegrelo Region". Within the framework of the project, pieces of training were organized by the authors, which aimed to raise awareness of young people about the disinformation, objective information, and negative effects of pro-Russian propaganda.
Participants discussed the following topics: disinformation and its characteristics, the importance of objective information, the role of the media in the fight against disinformation, negative influences of misinterpreted history in Georgian-Abkhazian relations, negative consequences of pro-Russian propaganda, and ways of fighting against disinformation related to the European integration of Georgia.

Each training was conducted in an active question-answer mode and included practical exercises.

‘’Civic engagement school 2022’’ was implemented in six regions of Georgia: Tbilisi, Telavi, Gori, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. In each region, students implemented action projects focused on current social problems. We will inform you about the results of each project step by step.

''Civic Engagement School 2022'' is implemented with the financial support of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung South Caucasus Regional Office.
