Within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2022’’ workshops are actively held. This time Ana Janiashvili-chief specialist of the Eastern Georgia Division of the Public Defender and Tamar Tskhovrebadze-representative of the Gender Department of the Eastern Georgia Division of the Public Defender were invited to the meeting.
Ana Janiashvili discussed the mandate of the public defender and its functions. Tamar Tskhovrebadze spoke about the forms of domestic violence and assistance services for victims of violence. The guest also focused on the main trends reflected in the public defender’s 2021 parliamentary report. She also discussed European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) domestic violence cases.
