Within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi students: Miranda Pipipa, Elene Gamisonia, Keso Shonia, and Tsotne Kakashvili are implementing action project ‘’Awareness of Young People about NATO and European Union.
To achieve the aim of the project, the student organizing group conducted the first training on the topic: ‘’human rights and the role of young people in democracy’’. The training was led by Lasha Narsia associate professor of Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi. The following topics were discussed at the training: basic human rights, state obligations, the process of formation of an active citizen. The training was conducted in an active question-and-answer mode.
The issue of media literacy and dissemination of misinformation about NATO and the European Union were also discussed at the training. These part of the traınıng was led by the authors of the project and carried out the activity ‘’spoiled phone’’, which aimed to develop disinformation detection skills.
