On April 6-7 Within the framework of the ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ project, pieces of training were held in Batumi, at Lali Antidze Sunday School. The pieces of training were led by Zura Kvirkvaia-senior adviser of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, invited professor of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, and Lali Antidze-project coordinator in Batumi, professor of Batumi Shota Rusatveli State University.
The purpose of the training was to inform participants of the essence of the advocacy campaign and develop the skills needed to implement action projects and teamwork.
On the first day of the training course, Zura Kvirkvaia introduced participants to the main goals of the advocacy campaign, types and strategies, the distinctive features of advocacy and lobbying. The participants of the ‘’Civic Engagement School 2020’’: Khatuna Vashakmadze, Tea Danelia, Lasha Ustiashvili, Beka Jokiladze, and Baia Gabedava were invited to the training. They shared their experiences with current project participants.
The second day of the training course was more practical, based on empirical examples, participants informed about the structure of the action project, the resources that are important for the implementation of the project. The Executive Director of CELA-Tamar Karaia attended the training through the zoom platform. She introduced participants to the main purpose of the ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ and issues to be considered during the implementation of the project. The training course included practical work within the participants were divided into groups and presented project proposals.
